Water-Conscious Building Standards

Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) incorporates water conservation requirements into its building and facilities management practices. These requirements prioritise water-efficient plumbing fixtures and sanitary ware to support efficient water use and reduce unnecessary consumption in campus buildings.

Implementation includes upgrading and replacing washbasin taps with water-saving models, including sensor-operated taps that control water flow automatically. These improvements complement the university’s environmental policy and campaigns encouraging students and staff to use water responsibly. The university is also planning and designing a system to reuse treated wastewater for garden irrigation and the maintenance of campus green spaces. This planned system aims to reduce demand for tap water and improve water resource efficiency.
