Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Environmental Management within the University and Community
The General Affair of Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University organized a waste sorting and water awareness management campaign under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) project on March 7, 2023 at Satit School, Nakhon Chum, Kamphaeng Phet . The project aimed at promoting environmental management within the university and the surrounding community. The campaign was held for primary school students in grades 1-3 at the Satit School and for residents of Wang Yang and Huay Yang communities at Wang Yang temple, Nakhon Chum, Mueang, Kamphaeng Phet.
Mr. Nopparat Chaiwino, a lecturer from the Environmental Science Program, was a guest speaker to deliver a presentation on waste sorting and raise water conservation awareness. The Primary Education Program also contributed by organizing recreational activities for the students of Satit School.
The purpose of this activity was to raise awareness and encourage student and local communities in waste sorting, water management, promote sustainable and equitable resource use in the community, and enhance community resource management mechanisms. The project aimed to foster resource recycling and sustainability, further developing Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University into a sustainable SDG University. The morning session took place at Satit School and at Wat Wang Yang, Nakhon Chum, Mueang, Kamphaeng Phet in the afternoon on the same day.
