KPRU and Kamphaeng Phet Hospital Join Forces to Advance Academic and Health Service Excellence

Good Health and Well-being

Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) has taken another significant step toward strengthening academic excellence and community health development through a landmark partnership with Kamphaeng Phet Hospital.

On July 19, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Preyanuch Prompasit, President of KPRU, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dr. Surachai Kaewhiran, Director of Kamphaeng Phet Hospital, to foster collaboration in academic programs, research, academic services, and the professional development of nursing faculty. The signing ceremony, held at the 60th Anniversary Building of Kamphaeng Phet Hospital, was witnessed by senior representatives from both institutions, marking a new milestone in regional academic–healthcare cooperation.

The MOU aims to integrate knowledge and practice between the university and the hospital, promoting joint research, innovation, and community-focused health initiatives. The collaboration is expected to elevate the quality of nursing education and healthcare services while creating new opportunities for students, faculty, and healthcare professionals to learn, share expertise, and co-develop impactful solutions for the region’s health challenges.

“This partnership reflects KPRU’s mission to connect academic strength with community needs,” said Asst. Prof. Dr. Preyanuch Prompasit. “Together, we will enhance both education and healthcare outcomes for the people of Kamphaeng Phet.”

The agreement will span five years, focusing on sustainable development in education, research, and health service innovation.

Since launching its first nursing program in 2020 with 40 students, KPRU’s Faculty of Nursing has grown steadily and is now welcoming its fifth cohort in the 2024 academic year — a testament to the university’s expanding role in producing high-quality health professionals for the community.
