KPRU Empowers Students to “Say No to AIDS” Through Awareness Campaign
On December 4, 2024, Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) hosted the KPRU SAY NO AIDS campaign, engaging approximately 1,200 first-year students in interactive activities designed to build awareness, knowledge, and practical skills for preventing HIV and sexually transmitted infections. Through workshops, discussions, and demonstrations, students learned how to adopt responsible sexual behaviors, protect their health, and support peers, empowering them to become advocates for safe practices within their communities. The event was conducted in collaboration with Kamphaeng Phet Hospital, led by Ms. Wasucha Yuttithamsthit, Senior Professional Nurse, and the hospital’s expert team.
This event also provided hands-on opportunities, including blood screening for STIs and an organ donation drive, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world contexts. With 80 students receiving health checks and 48 organ and eye donations recorded, participants gained a deeper sense of personal responsibility, empathy, and community engagement. The campaign strengthened students’ ability to make informed choices, foster healthy lifestyles, and contribute meaningfully to public health awareness.
