Bike Service and Univerity Vehicle Use
Sustainable Cities and Communities
The university has adopted the concept of sustainable commuting since 2019. It emphasizes the reduction of carbon emissions by following Green Office Measure, and by promoting the use of bicycles on campus. The university provides bicycles for students and staff to borrow at the Academic and Administrative Building (Building 14). We also provide buses and vans to pick up and drop off nursing students on weekdays from 07.30-17.00, so the students can intern as part of their nursing training.
Apart from adopting the Green Office Measure and providing free bicycles, the university has built cover ways connecting buildings to encourage more sustainable commuting.
Electric Vehicle Station
Electric Vehicle Station is a model electric vehicle charging station of KPRU. This station has solar panels that generate electricity to power electric vehicles that are used for both inside and outside campus transportation. It is also a learning lab for electric vehicle maintenance training and electric power management systems from solar cells for electric vehicle charging.
