Quality Education

Kamphaeng Phet — Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) has officially launched the “KPRU Second Career: Workforce Development for Second Careers” initiative, aimed at empowering students with professional skills that can generate additional income alongside their studies. The opening ceremony, held on February 14, 2024, at the Ratchaphruek Meeting Room, was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Preeyanuch Prompasit, President of KPRU.

The program introduces students to a variety of second-career opportunities aligned with their interests, helping them build employable skills while studying or during the transition to full-time work.

Participants expressed confidence and inspiration after attending keynote sessions and a panel discussion on discovering personal career passions. Many shared that the program broadened their perspectives, enhanced self-reliance, and encouraged them to pursue part-time income opportunities to support themselves and their families.

This initiative reflects KPRU’s commitment to developing career-ready graduates equipped with flexibility, entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to adapt to Thailand’s rapidly changing economic landscape.

Under the same project framework, the Office of Academic Services and Revenue Generation, Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU), organized a series of hands-on second-career training workshops on June 22, 2024, at the Tipangkorn Rasmichote Auditorium. A total of 90 students joined intensive professional training sessions in nail artistry, barista skills, and bakery production, each conducted by experienced industry practitioners.

The workshops produced impressive results. Participants created bakery products, practiced café-style coffee preparation, and mastered professional nail art techniques ready for real market application. Many students expressed greater self-confidence, practical skill development, and motivation to pursue self-employment. Several plan to open small businesses, take freelance jobs, or apply their new skills to support their studies.

This initiative reflects KPRU’s commitment to fostering sustainable livelihoods, empowering youth through practical education, and strengthening community well-being by transforming learning into real economic opportunities.
