In January 2024, the Social Development Program and the Academic Service Unit of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU), organized a Public Policy Development Workshop in Khlong Lan Phatthana Subdistrict, Kamphaeng Phet Province. The workshop aimed to develop a Community Tourism Charter as a framework for sustainable tourism and local development.

Aligned with KPRU’s mission, the activity enhanced policy knowledge and practical skills among local government officers, community leaders, and stakeholders, fostering effective tourism management, resource utilization, and local economic growth.

Participating students also joined field activities to explore local cultural assets such as Hmong knives, Hmong rice, plastic weaving crafts, red tamarind rice, and Lahu rattan basketry. Through participatory study methods, they learned to identify community needs and opportunities for sustainable development.
