World Environment Day 2024: KPRU’s Collaborative Action for Sustainable Resource Management

On 5 June 2024, Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU), in partnership with local stakeholders, organized an environmental activity at Samakkhi Tham Community Forest, Khlong Nam Lai Subdistrict, Khlong Lan District, Kamphaeng Phet Province, to commemorate World Environment Day 2024.

The activity centered on the construction of check dams, designed to enhance the forest’s water retention capacity, maintain soil moisture, and conserve biodiversity. This effort not only supports the sustainability of natural ecosystems but also promotes the participation of local communities in the protection and rehabilitation of environmental resources.

The initiative exemplifies KPRU’s ongoing mission to integrate community engagement with environmental sustainability, consistent with the goals of Rajabhat Universities to strengthen regional development and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
