KPRU Partners with Civil Society to Promote Waste Management Education among Schoolchildren
Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU), through Faculty of Education, supports collaboration with civil society organisations to promote environmental learning. The university designated Orathai Anurakwattana, a lecturer in the Early Childhood Education Programme and a member of the 47th cohort of Ta Wiset Ambassadors, to serve as a speaker at activities organised by Ta Wiset Ambassador Club of the Thai Creative Association. Her role was to teach schoolchildren about proper waste management and waste sorting.
The activities focused on participation and hands-on learning, using educational materials, demonstrations and question-and-answer sessions. Students learned about different types of waste, how to select the appropriate waste bins, and how to separate waste at source. They were also encouraged to apply this knowledge in their daily lives at school and at home.
