Good Health and Well-being

The Faculty of Science and Technology at Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) partnered with Wang Thong Subdistrict Administrative Organisation to organise “Happy and Valued Ageing,” a community health programme for fiscal year 2025. The programme welcomed 50 older adults at Wang Thong Subdistrict Elderly School in Mueang District, Kamphaeng Phet. Assistant Professor Ratree Phorawat, Associate Dean for Academic Services and Special Affairs, led faculty executives, lecturers and staff in delivering learning sessions and practical workshops. The programme aimed to strengthen older adults’ knowledge and skills in nutrition, hygiene, mental well-being and everyday self-care. Activities followed the theme “Prevent Falls, Keep the Mind Active, Support Emotional Well-being and Enjoy Eating.” Participants learned about age-appropriate nutrition and healthy daily habits, alongside line dancing to encourage physical activity and practise coordination and balance. Group recreational activities provided opportunities to connect with others and participate in community life.

All 50 participants received health education and opportunities to practise self-care skills. The programme reflects KPRU’s commitment to working with local partners to make health knowledge accessible and support older adults’ well-being.
