Good Health and Well-being

The Social Studies Programme, Faculty of Education, Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU), organised an academic seminar titled “Electronic Cigarettes in Educational Institutions” at Khuru Rom Sak 2 Meeting Room. The seminar provided social studies teacher trainees with practical experience in organising learning activities while raising awareness of tobacco and e-cigarette control measures to support smoke-free educational environments. The seminar highlighted measures to maintain educational institutions as 100% smoke-free areas, including monitoring, clearly displayed no-smoking signs, inspections for prohibited items, and disciplinary and legal enforcement. These topics helped participants understand approaches to communicating and implementing smoking and vaping restrictions.

The event brought together 265 participants and speakers from Kosamphi Police Station, the Community Health Nursing Department of KPRU’s Faculty of Nursing, and the Kamphaeng Phet Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, including an education specialist and a school psychologist. A year-level vice-chairperson and student inspectors from Kamphaeng Phet Pittayakhom School also contributed youth perspectives. Through exchanges covering law, public health, educational administration, child psychology and young people’s experiences, the seminar promoted awareness and cooperation to protect student health and support smoke-free learning environments.
