Clean Water and Sanitation

Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) participated in a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony and activities supporting Thailand’s “Water Security: No Floods, No Droughts” initiative on 23 December 2025 at the Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Government Centre Auditorium. The event was chaired by Mr. Chathip Rujanaseri, Governor of Kamphaeng Phet, and attended by Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), alongside representatives of government agencies, businesses and civil society organisations.

The event formed part of the “Water Security: No Floods, No Droughts in 10 Provinces” programme, with Kamphaeng Phet designated as one of its target areas. The programme seeks to integrate research knowledge and innovation into water management, covering domestic consumption, production, disaster management and ecosystem conservation. It addresses drought, water shortages and flooding through approaches suited to local conditions.

KPRU’s participation connected the university with government partners at provincial and national levels, including Kamphaeng Phet Province and NRCT. The event provided a platform for coordinating research-informed approaches to water security, improving people’s quality of life and promoting sustainable water resource management.
