Promoting Conscious Water Usage on Campus
Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) promotes responsible water use through conservation guidelines, educational materials and awareness activities. These efforts encourage students and staff to recognise the value of water and practise conservation in their daily activities.
The university’s water-saving infographic communicates four practical measures: turning off taps when not in use, regularly inspecting water fixtures, promptly reporting leaks or damage, and selecting water-efficient equipment. It reminds users to close taps completely after use and avoid leaving water running while soaping their hands. It also encourages regular checks of taps, bidet hoses, pipes and sanitary fixtures to prevent leakage.
When broken pipes, leaking taps or damaged fixtures are found, users are instructed to notify the responsible unit or the Buildings and Grounds Unit immediately. The guidance also encourages purchasing and replacing fixtures with water-saving equipment suited to their intended use. These messages connect everyday behaviour with maintenance and procurement practices that help prevent unnecessary water consumption.
KPRU also incorporates water conservation into university awareness activities. The General Affairs Division, Office of the President, organised a Buddhist Lent candle procession that combined cultural participation with campaigns on responsible water use, waste segregation and smoking prevention. The activity extended conservation messages to the Wang Yang community, linking university participation with local engagement.
