The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU), in collaboration with the Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict Administrative Organisation in Khlong Lan District and local community networks, implemented a soft power development project to strengthen the local creative economy and promote community-based tourism. The partners established a community market and promoted sales channels to help new entrepreneurs and local producer groups bring their products to market.

The “Pong Nam Ron Local Products Market and Orchard Fruit Tasting Festival” opened on 13 June 2025 at the Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict Administrative Organisation. Sakunphet Phikunprasert, Head of the Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Office, presided over the opening ceremony. The event gave local producer groups and new entrepreneurs a venue to introduce and sell their produce and newly developed products directly to visitors.

The initiative helped farmers and small business owners in Pong Nam Ron start or expand their businesses by developing offerings based on fresh fruit and locally processed products. It also helped them add value to local resources and earn income through tourism and sales at the event. By creating practical opportunities for local businesses, the project supported the grassroots economy and strengthened the community in line with the royal policy on local development.
