KPRU Supports Provincial Development Planning in Kamphaeng Phet
Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) is committed to addressing poverty and improving the quality of life of local communities through active participation in provincial policy development. In collaboration with Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Government, university academics and researchers were officially appointed to a joint a working group for the workshop on the Revision of Kamphaeng Phet Province’s 20-Year Development Goals (2023–2042) for Fiscal Year 2025, held at the Chakungrao Riverview Hotel.
As part of the provincial policy development process, KPRU provided academic expertise, research-based evidence, and analytical tools to assess factors influencing local development. University representatives also contributed to the formulation of development indicators and policy measures aimed at reducing poverty, increasing household income, and addressing socioeconomic disparities. This collaboration strengthened the integration of academic knowledge into evidence-based policymaking and local development planning. The collaboration contributed to the inclusion of poverty reduction strategies and measures in the Draft version of Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Development Plan (2028 – 2032) and the province's annual government action plans. Government agencies and development partners adopted policy recommendations and implementation approaches jointly developed with KPRU as frameworks for addressing structural poverty challenges, supported by ongoing monitoring and evaluation. This demonstrates the University's role in translating research and academic expertise into actionable provincial policies that promote sustainable livelihoods, improve quality of life, and reduce inequalities in local communities.
