Affordable and Clean Energy

The Faculty of Industrial Technology at Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU), together with the SET4C team, delivered a community outreach workshop at the Maha Chai Subdistrict Sufficiency Economy Learning and Training Centre in Kamphaeng Phet Province. The workshop introduced solar drying as a practical way to use renewable energy in local product processing.

Participants learned how a solar dryer uses heat from sunlight to dry products and applied that knowledge by building a solar dryer during the workshop. The exercise showed how locally produced goods can be dried using solar heat, offering a way to reduce reliance on electricity or fuel for drying. The workshop also covered techniques for developing a distinctive identity for community products to help local producers add value and increase their income. By combining hands-on construction with product development training, the workshop connected clean energy education with the practical needs of local producers.
