Student Representation and Participation

Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) supports student participation and autonomy in organising extracurricular activities by formally recognising the Student Administrative Organization (SAO) as an elected student representative body. The SAO manages and coordinates student activities in cooperation with the Student Council, faculty student clubs and other student clubs. Its work supports students’ physical, emotional, social and intellectual development, as well as their leadership and essential life skills. Its responsibilities include overseeing student development activity programmes, supporting extracurricular activities, managing resources, and promoting academic, sports, recreational, volunteer and community service activities. The Student Council reviews, evaluates and monitors the work of student organisations, while faculty student clubs are elected by students to represent their respective faculties. https://std.kpru.ac.th/th/smo.php

KPRU holds annual elections for the SAO President, giving candidates opportunities to present their policies and teams to fellow students. The elected President and executive committee organise student activities in accordance with university regulations. Participation in University Governance

KPRU provides opportunities for the SAO to share students’ views, needs and concerns directly with university management. In 2025, student leaders met with the University President to present their activity plans and recommendations on facilities, equipment and improvements to student activities. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1066914225460482&type=3 The university also provides telephone and online feedback channels through which students and other stakeholders can express their views.

Student Support and Assistance

KPRU supports the SAO in coordinating student activities at university and faculty levels in cooperation with the Student Council, faculty student clubs and other student clubs. This support includes providing materials and equipment, overseeing student development activity programmes, and coordinating student participation to support learning, skills development and well-being.

Social Activities

KPRU encourages the SAO and faculty student clubs to organise volunteer initiatives, community service projects, cultural activities, sports and other activities that benefit society. In 2025, the SAO worked with the Student Development Division to organise the KPRU Loy Krathong Festival, encouraging student participation, strengthening social connections and preserving Thai cultural traditions. In addition to the university's student administration organization that runs the entire university's student affairs, each faculty also has student clubs that operate within their faculty.

Additionally, the Student Administrative Organization and student clubs within each faculty have the right to organize activities that support education, enhance knowledge, and encourage the expression of opinions. These organizations provide a neutral and safe space for students to voice their perspectives and ideas freely within the university. The university also offers various channels for feedback, including direct calls and online platforms, ensuring that all students and stakeholders have the opportunity to reflect on the university's operations and contribute to its development in a secure and unbiased environment.
