KPRU Promotes Academic Freedom alongside Ethics and Staff Development
Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (KPRU) recognises academic freedom as a principle of its human resource management and development approach. The university supports personnel in developing their competencies, achieving professional success and maintaining well-being at work, alongside career advancement, welfare and facilities that support their quality of life and academic activities.
This approach values the freedom to seek and present new knowledge, including ideas that may not yet be widely accepted or that address sensitive issues. It also encompasses the freedom to perform academic duties and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and learning, while encouraging knowledge exchange within and beyond the university. Academic freedom is exercised alongside moral principles, ethics and professional responsibility.

In research, these principles are reflected in the Research Code of Conduct and Guidelines published on the Institute of Research and Development’s website. The document states that researchers should maintain intellectual independence.
