Project on Desired Citizenship

Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences recognized the importance of developing people to have knowledge, good attitudes, and a stable career, which will strengthen the security of the country in accordance with the royal policy of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua. Therefore, the faculty organized the project "Desired Citizenship" with the budget under the strategic plan for sustainable education development with the following purposes:
1. To promote love and unity and enhance the four desirable characteristics of Thai people.
2. To enhance activities that include morals, ethics, volunteerism, and strengthening the 12 core values of Thai people.

The target group of the project is upper secondary students in 15 schools, with 100 students per school. The project operators prepared a manual for organizing activities for personal development, promoting love and unity, and understanding the rights and duties of oneself and others under the basis of a democratic society with the King as Head of State, by adopting the King's process of "Understand, Approach, and Develop" as a framework for such operations.

The project implementation process consisted of the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the university and the 15 participating schools, training facilitator teachers at each school, and conducting online events.
